My home server is all CGIs in Lua, Python and Ruby. Some endpoints have less than one hit per month. I don't care much about how many milliseconds I can shave from the startup time as well as from the run time. It will be fast enough whatever I do. For my customers, no CGIs. They do run on Python and Ruby though.
