Is there any clarity around what constitutes IT? Does it range from installing printer drivers to writing software for self-driving cars? I look at IT as a cost-center focused on keeping the company business running - internally focused (email, finance, ops, sales, etc) - but NOT product development. However I am not sure how the government defines it for these stats. Edit: to simplify my personal definition - if your report to the CIO - IT, if you report to a product group - not IT.
