The only solution that will help Austin, won't be a small exception to the zoning restrictions. It will need to be systemic. End parking minimums, R1 zoning, minimum offsets, etc... They all need to be addressed before housing shortages will end. Otherwise you are just spitting on the house fire and you will end up with half a million dollar tiny homes just like the Bay Area in California.
