Vision correction is provided by Zeiss branded magnetic inserts.
1. Your optometrist will be providing the prescription. Zeiss will be providing the optics. You can trust them both.
2. They're expensive, but they pop in and out.

I share your concern over it's usefulness. I should take my Index back out sometime.
- jltsiren 3y agoUnfortunately the lenses are not expensive, which likely means that they are mass produced. If you have an uncommon prescription, you probably can't get the right lenses.
- itishappy 3y agoGreat point. > Apple says that "not all prescriptions are supported."
- Miraste 3y agoThis could mean anything from a limit on physical thickness to not supporting something like prism correction. It'd be nice if they were more specific. There are already some good VR headset prescription lens makers I'm sure are gearing up for the Vision Pro--I wonder if Apple is going to go after third parties making inserts.
- nottorp 3y agoYay. I have enough astigmatism that the docs told me contacts is a no go and can't use off the shelf lenses. But those are Zeiss!
