There are very different ways of marketing. Just thing about how often Tesla is discussed on HN. Mercedes is for its self-driving, only to have a 50% discussion about Tesla each time, while VW is discussed at a distant third place for its objevtively bad UI / software.
- farslan 3y agoYeap. Reddit, HN, X (Twitter), you see more Tesla than anything else. We talk more about Tesla compared to other car brands.
- cbeach 3y agoPeople discussing a company is different from the company actively "marketing" itself. Important distinction.

- cbeach 3y agoThe burden of proof lies on you if you want to make claims like that
- averageRoyalty 3y agoWe don't. However it's a publicly traded company that's had whistleblowing before and is heavily scrutinised by the public. The most reasonable default view is that they're not doing this.
