What will Wayland do to make video drivers easier to write?
Perhaps you're thinking of Gallium3D?
- jiggy2011 14y agoIIRC in order to make the acceleration work correctly nVidia needed to actually re-implement a number of parts of the X Server itself since X was not originally designed for accelerated drivers / compositing.
