How is this supposed to work? Any solution I can think of requires adding hardware, and is not a software reconfiguration accessible to the AI.
Building a cache in the ISP network close requires adding hardware.
Fiber networks often have symmetrical bandwidth in the upload and download direction, either using two fibers or two wavelengths. So how do you optimise the upload? The only way I can see this is running ROADMs and adding wavelengths in the upload direction. However this also requires adding transceivers on the router that is client to the ROADM at the venue.
- tardoe 3y agoROADMs + dynamic reconfiguration using domain controllers is the way to go - Nokia has this sort of tech and it's well in-use by large T1 networks. Routers are often pre-patched into ROADM ports and wavelengths on longer spans are add/removed as capacity is needed.
- tesdinger 3y agoDo they have "unidirectional" transceivers to add more upload? Never heard of that just guessing.
