They have and didn't find anything conclusive (two small samples not matching any known suspects). The hobbyist researcher wants access to the tie so he can test a specific adjustment pin that is concealed in the knot of the tie, which he interviewed FBI agents and learned they were unaware of.
Judge will not release the tie under a FOIA request, because it is not a document. No surprise there.
- halfcat 3y agoAlso isn’t the DNA they have just from a tie left on the plane? Meaning, the “chain of custody” of DNA isn’t very solid, i.e. it could be anyone’s DNA?
