- eddythompson80 3y agoAssuming you don’t use Wayland of course.
- vorticalbox 3y agoNot currently I have enabled it and quickly went back as the DE would crash (running gnome on pop!_os)
- sudohackthenews 3y agoI’m on Fedora 39 and nvidia drivers work great on Wayland (gnome)
- Filligree 3y agoUnless you run Discord, or any Steam game that doesn’t run at you monitor update frequency.
- eddythompson80 3y agoHuh, I’ve had so many problems running Wayland KDE on Arch with nvidia drivers. Maybe I should give gnome another try
- rlmineing_dead 3y agoHi, your issue with nvidia on Wayland is probably Xwayland (see: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/967 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests...) I'd see if https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xorg-xwayland-explicit-sync-git https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xorg-xwayland-explicit-sy... and possibly KwinFT works out for you.
- cfn 3y agoI've been running Linux on a workstation for a year and NVIDIA drivers kill it every other update. I'm seriously considering moving it to the server room and getting something else for my desktop.
