To be fair, this could also be said about everyday life too, which is also why folks with Aspergers (like myself) tend to struggle. Social norms seem to basically down to "don't speak out unless absolutely necessary, especially not against authority figures" Easy and logical for more tribalistic folks that live in terror of becoming outcasts, but not remotely reasonable for people who don't/can't live in this restrictive setup.
