What's declining is 1) startups whose entire business model is nothing more than a wrapper around OpenAI API and 2) people who thought "Prompt Engineer" was going to be a legitimate career. I see 2024 as the year when we see more and more LLM/RAG solutions being put into full production in large enterprises while research/innovation continues at a fast pace.
