It feels a lot like the blockchain/crypto/NFT hype of 2021. Lots of activity and interest, but really there wasn't that killer app to take advantage of it. So people moved on to other things. Maybe once someone finds that killer app, we'll see more interest again. I'm personally interested to see an LLM combined with a voice assistant. I'd love for Alexa to be more open-ended compared to what currently feels like just a limited set of keywords. A true conversational model where it picks up on context and runs commands intelligently, picking up on subtle hints.
