- judge2020 3y ago70 is the rule[0], at least based on length - given rural highways have the most of it and the standard speed is 70mph. On the interstate maybe 1 in 1000 drivers in a car is actually going 65mph in the 70 zone, and by doing so is slowing down right lane traffic and requiring 70mph semi trucks to pass them. 0: https://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/speedmgt/ref_mats/fhwasa16076/fhwasa16076.pdf https://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/speedmgt/ref_mats/fhwasa16076/fh...
- earthling8118 3y agoThe semi trucks normally don't go 70. They go slower than that going up hills and much faster downhill. They constantly pass me on the downhill portion only to slow me down on the uphill
- AlchemistCamp 3y agoI’ve seen a lot of 65 speed limit segments and a lot of 75 but 70 is rare in my experience.
- earthling8118 3y agoI've rarely seen highway that wasn't 70. Our personal experiences aren't enough to determine this.
- DoesntMatter22 3y agoMost states don't have 70 mph speed limits
- dragonwriter 3y ago> Most states don't have 70 mph speed limits 39 out of 50 (or 51, if you count DC as state-like) states have maximum posted speed limits of 70mph or higher, which is a very clear majority.
