You sound similar to some of my experiences, high IQ though I don't have Asperger's. So I would say I agree with many people in power need to be "the smartest person in the room" and will do their best to derail or ignore you, which limits your success. But to your comment about isolation and no one wanting to interact with you, TBH that's most probably Asperger's or your personality, not that you are some genius that people are jealous of.
