I used to refuse to go through the airport scanner, which required a physical pat down. Unfortunately, not enough people did so, and eventually I gave in. My concern was that I wasn’t reassured that the devices had been adequately tested. I also consider them to be mostly security theater. So, what I’m saying here is don’t count on others sharing your concerns and following suit.
