How much energy does a human use in 18 years of training?
- selimthegrim 3y agoThere was a very good talk at NeurIPS this year that was comparing LLM training to amount of energy expended in building wonders of the world. I think this would’ve been a good thing to include too.
- dist-epoch 3y agoA LLM trained once can be instantiated a million times, while each human instantiation requires individual full training.
