Ive bought and owned a few Bird-like scooters and tried to roughly calculate how many rides per scooter they can get out of one and what they'd have to charge just to recoup costs. My estimates told me that from day one they would never be able to make money on a per-scooter basis. If I had known they were public I would have shorted the stock.
