At my grocery store all the squeezy ketchup bottles are transparent. Even Heinz has both a bright red bottle and transparent versions. Shops like Whole Foods don't sell the bright red version though, only the transparent version. Clearly they are marked at different customers, and there must be some demographics that prefer the bright red.
