Veeam doesn't support CentOS stream or 9, there's been a bunch of things here and there. I notice many are moving to Ubuntu. I had to go through all of our vendors last year, and the nice thing about CentOS was almost everyone supported it. Now there's no 'gold standard'.
- tuna74 3y agoIt says they support RHEL: "Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.8, 7.9, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, and 8.6 (64-bit)"
- piperswe 3y agoIt supports old RHEL, but not 9.
- fgonzag 3y agoSo not stream (OP never stated RHEL, he stated many packages not supporting stream) AND it doesn't support RHEL 9 which came out almost 2 years ago.
- bananskalhalk 3y agoIf you kept your RHEL 8.x server updated, it would have been on 8.7 for over a year.
- op00to 3y agoThanks! When you say Veeam doesn’t support RHEL 9, does that mean it can’t backup RHEL 9 clients due to a lack of agent, or something else?
