  Exactly. Prohibition didn’t work. McDonald’s is still growing and obesity is the world’s biggest health problem. PS: I wish it was different. But I don’t have the hubris to believe we can change human nature.

    But the rate of consumption of cigarettes has declined in the past 100 years, likely due to public awareness of the health risks. I'm willing to wager as more people realize addiction to social media is against their best interests, companies/governments/people will make changes. We're kind of already seeing that.
