Most of them are strictly tropical. Only white sapotes and black sapotes (really a persimmon, but with bland so-so flavor) can grow on temperate areas. There are a lot of awesome tropical fruits that nobody knows out of its distribution area (Some of us would culture it furiously otherwise, LOL)
