Thanks for this story, and for mentioning the key point > at this point the trust level was high As your story demonstrates, this is really what these scams hinge on. It's scary sometimes how easily we can come to trust something. (on an unrelated note, I setup Monarch (Mint replacement) a couple days ago, which of course requires giving them financial credentials just so they can pull transaction history...)
