We had one and my wife only had to get gas every 3 months or so. Definitely depends on your use but 35-40 miles a day on battery was plenty for her.

- bluGill 3y agoThe newer ones only get about 20 miles or range. I have looked at them, but my wife is short and so she cannot reach the pedals. We have an older minivan with adjustable pedals that works well.

- bluGill 3y agoThey dropped the range. Apparently the rules for what qualifies for some rebate changed and so they put in less batteries while also meeting whatever law that was. If you only want the hybrid for rebates then who cares, but if you are looking at them for practical reasons that isn't useful.
- bombcar 3y agoI wonder how moddable these things are (can someone sell aftermarket “bigger packs”) besides just filling the back with those power brick setups.
