Ask HN: How to change my career path as a 40 y/o?
Hello HN!
I'm have a CS degree and have been working for the last 14 years as a project manager. As I have matured, I find myself more and more distant to technical work, and more into management.
I'm seeking to change my career path, so I can work fully remote, as I'm not able right now. I was looking to reeducate myself back into programming or sysadmin of some kind.
What do you think is a viable technology to retrain a 40 y/o project manager who studied CS at college?
Thanks!
- nikole9696 3y agoAre you really seeking to change just for remote work? Because project managers absolutely CAN be fully remote. Ours are. =)

- nnurmanov 3y agoHow about business or system analyst role? I find such roles better entry compared to QA roles. There is a big competition in QA nowadays. BA or SA should have a domain knowledge which may become your competitive advantage.
