Why Britain's economy is failing
- simonblack 3y agoCompanies and conservative governments are notorious for thinking short-term, and not being willing to spend money 'on the future'. So they are always playing 'catch-up'. If the Energy companies had planned ahead and spent money on infrastructure in advance there wouldn't be "waits of up to 15 years" for "applications to connect to the electricity grid". In other words, their inability to plan long-term and invest in infrastructure beforehand is affecting their energy sales business income NOW.
