I did something like this more than 20 years ago as a WMaker dock app inspired by the day counter in "Truman's Show", then modified it to display the number of days I had left according to my country and sex life expectancy, and I removed it after a while. The number goes down surprisingly fast and it is not an actionable metric in practice, especially for a working-class person. I guess if you are a wealthy socialite it might push you to try more of the many opportunities you have instead of repeating, but for me it was just a distraction.
