I got dumped and retired by Xerox some months after Y2K. There were a number of cuts before the axe swung my way. Yep, there's a heavy MBA focus on financials as opposed to doing what's best for customers. Funnily enough you're shipped off in your first weeks to an indoctrination course on quality, but later catch on that MBA speak is holy writ. Every few years there's transformative change and more folks get dumped.
