- jmaker 3y agoSometimes the general purpose implementations just don’t cut it, depending on the data access patterns, the hardware, etc., neither do they exhibit sufficient tuning capabilities. Sometimes people find out how embarrassingly inefficient a stdlib implementation under the hood is.
