This looks beautiful and I appreciate all the work that went into it. For me, it is overkill. I went in the opposite direction this year, putting more emphasis on my posts (and their readability) rather than visual flourish. I am planning to do further optimizations (such as font subsetting) to reduce the burden on my site's visitors later this year.
