- krackers 3y agoWhich timezone is used for copyright purposes?
- ronsor 3y agoI have no idea, but I'd assume the timezone of Washington D.C.?
- anjel 3y agoFWIW, the expiring copyright holder has its headquarters in Burbank,CA.
- concordDance 3y agoWould it be them or the timezone the copyright creator was in when the work was finished (thus getting copyright)?
- midasuni 3y agoImagine if the date at the end was when the copyright owner had agreed for it to enter public domain, thus meaning it couldn’t be retroactively extended.
- Mountain_Skies 3y agoMy wild guess is that if someone filed a copyright claim based on time zone, whatever court the claim was filed with would tell them to stop making frivolous claims.
