Only because we've decided as a profession that optimizing for binary size is low priority when compared to speed of development, maintainability, and framework's features, among others.
- dkersten 15y agoSure and thats usually a reasonable thing to do these days when storage space and bandwidth are pretty cheap. It was really just an observation that 12 floppy disks isn't really very much. I guess random observations are downvotable offenses on HN, but thats ok too.
