There are legitimate uses for tracking, but it's a pretty reasonable ask for companies to mitigate the illegitimate uses and respect consent about the collection to begin with. I've seen that internal data before. It's profoundly creepy and not something I'm okay with the manufacturer having on my family, but I can't meaningfully opt us out of.
