That is poor argument.
You can make privacy respecting emergency notification system which uses data only for that service or even if you share it only for individuals as well.
But manufacturers want all this data and sell it too.
- ghaff 3y agoYes manufacturers should have far less leeway to use/sell the data for many purposes even if that increases consumer monetary costs. Even open to legislation along those lines. But that doesn’t really have a bearing on this case.
