    Not really because horses are expensive. They eat even on days you don't use them. Miles per hay bale needs to be asked about. Those using a horse already wanted a faster one. Most people would not have found a fast horse better. Henry Ford gave the people faster transport that they could afford.

      You can still, to this day, make considerable money selling faster horses.

    The same reason they wouldn't go one step further than that and say more time with my family.
