Male inequality, explained by an expert – Richard Reeves [video]
- cc101 3y agoI would like to see in men's comments here men engaging in a positive way with these issues, but I expect to see denial, anger, bitterness, and loss of hope. I hope that I'm wrong. I expect to see hostility and abuse by women, and frankly after 50 years of emotional abuse of men by the feminist movement, I don't give a damn what women think about this. They know what they can do with their hostility. Yes, I'm hostile. While the issues this video presents are real and serious, I don't think anything will be done about them. Abuse by the demagogic element in the feminist movement will prevent that.
- aurareturn 3y agoOne of the suggestions in the video is to have boys start school one year later so that their brains are as developed as the girls. That's very interesting. I would consider it for my own child. I wonder if colleges should/do adjust entrance qualifications between genders. Right now, there are way more girls in colleges than boys everywhere around the world. How much of it is that boys have other opportunities besides college and how much of it is boys not being able to compete academically with girls in high school?
- camdenlock 3y agoThis is why the modern belief that all relationships are rooted in class-based struggles for power is so dangerous and unproductive. A person deemed a member of a “dominant” group/class is liable to be neglected. Widespread, such neglect can really blight a society, as it is blighting ours now.
- guerrilla 3y agoI get what you're saying but I don't think you get to the root of it. There's no problem with the class concept. The problem is letting politics decide who the over- and underclasses are rather than science. Things have changed and people have not woken up to the change. That's all that's happening here.
