- fortran77 3y agoI see Apple loyalists on Hacker News and other forums dismissing the Apple Watch patent dispute as the work of a "patent troll." This WSJK article reveals that may be an unfair characterization.
- mmaunder 3y agoThis needs more eyes. Joe is a founder, not a patent troll, and Apple met with him, reconned his tech, recruited his engineers and copied his technology. He’s in the good fight.
- skygazer 3y agoJoe is really pushing the David and Goliath narrative. He’s just another billionaire who is not actually betting the company. And the violated patent claims themselves look silly: opaque material with chamfered edges, three or more LEDS instead of 2. Medium sized Goliath against big Goliath fighting in the forum of silly patents that should never have been granted. Wake me when Apple figures out how to keep selling the Apple Watch with nary a hit to their bottom line.
