- nonrandomstring 3y agoUnsurprisingly the linked media did not answer the question posed in the headline. But after listening to it I think, as Jeanette Winterson says, people are figuring out they'd rather be happy than "normal", so the relatively recent conceit of normalcy is starting to crumble. Probably a very good thing if we as a society are to manage the intolerable psychological living conditions of surveillance capitalism, consumerism and reification.
