Thanks for the insight. It maybe depends on each team too. While my team (platform & infra) much prefer remote devbox, the development teams are not. It could be specific to my org because we have way too many restrictions on the local dev machine (eg: no linux on laptop but it's ok on server and my team much prefer linux over crippled Windows laptop).
