The Church of Scientology wants to make others look ridiculous? Have they read Dianetics? Or has anyone asked why they believe that the problems of human beings today are a result of traumatic events experienced by them as spiritual beings when they inhabited the bodies of clams during Earth's evolution?

  He isn't kidding. The Scientologists believe that Xenu, their equivalent to the Devil, solved overpopulation by putting all of his unwanted citizens on this planet, blew up the volcanoes with nukes to kill everyone, and then take all of their souls (they believe in reincarnation, and its an integrated part of Xenu's governance, ie, dying doesn't absolve you of debts and contracts) to movie theaters to show them a story about God and Jesus (as if other religions don't exist; total hate boner for Christianity). Oh, and he flew all the people to Earth using ships that looked like DC8s. They do, because all of our souls remember the incident and the PTSD is forever etched on our souls. Also, mental illness doesn't exist, its actually the souls that weren't powerful enough to inhabit human bodies, and try to ride along and fuck us up. It's insane.

Have you read the Christian bibles, though? Or the guiding material of any other religion? Christians, for example, believe that Jesus (not his real name) can cast demons from people into pigs and then exorcise them by sending the pigs off a cliff. The muslims do not believe in or understand the evaporation of the oceans, and believe that god alone makes it rain. At least if you read their founding bible alone and do not see how they actually operate.
