This has happened to me multiple times, including from large YC-funded companies. I'm tempted to name-and-shame, but I doubt it would do any good. I don't consider anyone obligated to respond to a resume or application, but stopping communication in the middle of the interview process is utterly disrespectful and does not speak well of your company's values and culture.
