I switched (back) to Firefox a few years ago, and love it. My only complaint is that it forces me to restart the program occasionally, for updates. Does anyone

I switched (back) to Firefox a few years ago, and love it. My only complaint is that it forces me to restart the program occasionally, for updates. Does anyone know why this is done? Is it a technical necessity? Why can't I postpone it for a few hours?
