Firefox needs bookmarkable containers. It is almost there ...
Bookmarkable Containers are opening bookmarks in a specific container. And I don't like the hacked extension that implements this feature as a workaround using container sites.
- noman-land 3y agoCan't you do this by telling a container to auto open certain URLs?
- nashashmi 3y agoYes, but when it comes to links like outlook and gmail, where i want to keep separate work accounts and personal accounts.
- noman-land 3y agoMakes sense. Good example.
- Vinnl 3y agoSomeone yesterday mentioned this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-url-in-container/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-url-in-c... As I understand it, that would allow you to add a bookmark for `ext+container:name=MyContainer&url=https://mozilla.org https://mozilla.org`, which would open mozilla.org in MyContainer.
- nashashmi 3y agoNot a fail. It has the annoyance of after clicking the bookmark, it closes the tab I am in and opening a new tab. This cannot be reversed by ctrl+shift+t. I end up losing my history of the closed tab. Otherwise, it works.
