The overwhelming majority of people who are dubious about copyright produce work that is protected in some other way. The rise of web apps was hugely driven, perhaps primarily driven, by the fact you can’t just copy them. iPhone apps? Same thing. All enterprise contract work? The concept is irrelevant. Actually any contract work, any production of custom physical items … irrelevant. Copyright is the one where society has to “buy in” for the creator to get paid. This is an artifact of technology, and nothing to do with inherent moral or commercialization claims.
