We're still finding roman coins in the UK, that should be enough physical evidence against the idea. But, I imagine salt would be useful for bartering with some of the "barbari" the soldiers encountered.
- Ekaros 3y agoOn other hand UK being island next to Ocean, a local salt production must have happened for long time. As such I'm not entirely sure the locals would have needed to source it from Romans. Then again if Romans took over the production it changes things.
