It's interesting how this has completely flipped from the situation in the past decades where copyright enforcement was the thing done by big corporations with big budgets and anti-DRM was the underdog thing. To be clear I'm not disagreeing with you but I think it does show that the underlying issue is maybe deeper than copyright itself and goes more in the direction of class relationships in a capitalist society.
