AfD voters are not literal Nazi party members, obviously, but it's definitely not the case that they're "holding their noses" at the ideology -- the (racist) ideology of AfD is fundamental to the entire platform of the party. In fact this kind of comment is just apologia: the only effect is that you end up validating and lending credence to that ideology. -- FWIW, I'm very pro-nuclear, and I find Germany's general opposition to nuclear energy (Atomkraft? Nein Danke!) to be incoherent, basically stupid.
