"Radar Base"? Radar Base is a census designated place that otherwise does not exist. Eagle Pass (it is not technically my hometown as I was born in Piedras Negras) is the first (significant) city to be visited by the totality event as it travels through the United States that could, in theory, accommodate visitors. Practically, it can't accommodate anyone, as nearly all of the city's hotel rooms are perpetually booked-out by state national guardsmen assisting the 25,000-person city from being logistically ground to dust by the daily (yes, daily) influx of 3k-5k asylum-seekers traveling through the city.
