Update on "My CTO is wrong (or worse) and nobody is challenging him"
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35624069 This was posted 8 months ago. As an update, after this project (and others) went indeed horribly wrong, the CTO in question finally was fired. I have mixed feelings: Of course, relief. On the other hand dismay: with me, for not pushing my case harder, and with the other senior leaders with no spine I still have to deal with.
- haltist 3y agoIt would not have made any difference. Humans love hierarchy and it's obvious you are too far down the hierarchy to have made any difference.
- happytiger 3y agoWhat did you learn from the experience? If you could go back, would you really do anything differently? Regret doesn’t mean one would actually change it.
- throw89 3y agoI would document my case well, then go to the CEO or to the board and present it. Easy to say now though.
