While not seeing anything special in this particular VT implementation, I can only praise the virtual tables sub-system of SQLite as a whole. I'm very used to it, it makes the SQLite/sql engine sometimes just a glue for connecting different (virtual) data sets. Many SQLite files on my comp even has not dedicated data, only sqlite_master table containing virtual tables declarations.
