I feel like the whole article is an allegory of LLM development (as a critic would write it: devoting a stupendous amount of resources and 'training data' to 'memorize' the solution). I wonder if this was the author's intent?
- Semaphor 3y agoConsidering I expected it to be about LLMs from the title (I thought it would be an announcement of a new 4B model), I’m going with "probably" ;)

- larodi 3y agoright so! Like the 40b LLM model doing for loops. It very much seems this allegory is the actual motivation behind the article… is not about engineering but the absurdity that awaits us around the corner.
